I. Introduction

At Hometown National Bank, the basis of each customer relationship is trust. You have chosen to do business with us, and we are obligated to honor that relationship with great care, beginning with the information you have chosen to share with us. We believe your privacy should not be compromised. We will do that through the policy outlined below.

II. Recognition of a Customer's Expectation of Privacy

At Hometown National Bank, we believe the confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. While information is critical to providing quality service, we recognize that one of our most important assets is our customer's trust. The safekeeping of customer information is our main priority.

III. Customer Benefits of Our Information Management Practices

We collect, retain, and use information about you only when we reasonably believe that it will help administer our business or provide products and services you will need. We collect and retain information about you only for specific business purposes, and we will tell you why we are collecting are retaining that information on your request. We use the information collected to comply with certain laws and regulations, to help us offer you the best banking products available, and to understand you're financial needs.

Each Hometown National Bank’s employees is required to follow our Company's "Confidentiality Policy," which states that all customer information is considered private and privileged, and is to be used solely for the purpose of providing you with the finest service available.

VI. Protection of Information by Established Security Procedures

Hometown National Bank is committed to protection of your financial and personal information. All of our operational and data processing systems are in a secure environment that protects your account information from being accessed by a third party. We maintain and grant access to customer records only in accordance with our internal security standards.

VII. Restrictions on the Disclosure of Account Information

We do not reveal any information about your accounts or other personally identifiable data to parties outside our bank unless you (1) request or authorize it in writing, (2) the information is provided to help complete a transaction initiated by you, (3) the information is provided to a reputable credit bureau or similar information reporting agency, or (4) the disclosure otherwise is lawfully permitted or required.

VIII. Maintaining Customer Privacy in Business Relationship with Third Parties

When we conduct business with parties outside the bank, we require those entities (such as check printers) to maintain similar standards of conduct regarding the privacy of personally identifiable customer information provided to them.

IX. Providing Privacy Information to Customers and Responding to Inquiries

Hometown National Bank recognizes and respects the privacy expectations of our customers. We want our customers to understand our commitment to privacy in our use of customer information.
